About the Role
We're looking for a Senior Frontend Engineer to join our core product team at Vercel. You'll work on the deployment dashboard, analytics UI, and developer experience tooling used by millions of developers worldwide.
What You'll Do
- Build and maintain high-performance React applications used by 1M+ developers
- Collaborate with design and product teams to ship new features end-to-end
- Establish frontend architecture patterns and best practices
- Mentor junior engineers and conduct code reviews
- Optimize Core Web Vitals and frontend performance metrics
- Contribute to open-source projects including Next.js
Requirements
Must Have
- 5+ years of production React experience
- Deep TypeScript proficiency
- Experience with server-side rendering and edge computing
- Strong understanding of web performance and Core Web Vitals
- Experience with testing frameworks (Jest, Playwright)
- Excellent written communication for async remote work
Nice to Have
- Open-source contributions
- Experience with Rust or Go
- Prior work at a developer tools company
- Familiarity with CDN and edge network concepts
